Steward's Report

Geoff's Maste and Raging Lee were slow out. Chewy Rumballs and Raging Lee collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Choda Boy, Geoff's Mate and Satin Len collided soon after the start. Chewy Rumballs and Raging Lee collided on the first turn. Geoff's Mate checked off the heels of Mepunga East approaching the second turn. Geoff's Mate, Chewy Rumballs and Raging Lee collided entering the back straight checking Geoff's Mate and Raging Lee. Choda Boy checked off the heels of Satin Len on the third turn. Satin Len and Mepunga East collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. Geoff's Mate was vetted following the Event and Dr. David Hall, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the left fore. No stand down penalty was applied due to the minor extent of the abrasion. Mepunga East was also vetted following the Event and Dr. Hall reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the left stopper tendon. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Hall, the Stewards will stand Mepunga East down from competing for 5 days.
