Steward's Report
Prior to the running of the event, greyhound Symonds Bale was revetted by Dr Jon Cochrane, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, and was passed fit to run.
Princess Newfire, Star Louson and Symonds Bale were slow out. Princess Newfire and Star Louson collided soon after the start and again on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Princess Newfire and Star Louson collided on the second turn. Symonds Bale galloped on the heels of Dalpura Miss on the second turn checking Symonds Bale, Warby Grove and Flying Cal, and severely checking Dalpura Miss which stumbled as a result. Warby Grove checked off the heels of Flying Cal entering the home turn.
Dalpura Miss was vetted following the event, Dr Jon Cochrane, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon reported the greyhound to have a left hind toe injury, no stand-down was imposed.
