Steward's Report

Beilharz Sunrise and Flirtful were slow out and collided soon after the start. Coole Castle and Dina Mint collided approaching the first turn. Coole Castle, Stealthy Doll and Tess Jones collided on the first turn checking Beilharz Sunrise which raced wide as a result. Knockabout Merle checked off the heels of Dina Mint on the third turn. Coole Castle and Stealthy Doll collided on the home turn. Coole Castle and Stealthy Doll collided in the home straight. Stewards spoke to Mr. Peter Riley (representing Trainer - A.L. Dailly) regarding the improved performance of Cynthia Bale this evening. Mr. Riley told the Stewards that Cynthia Bale had undergone regular box practise over the last couple of weeks which had improved her box manners and he was confident of a forward showing this evening, particularly when the greyhound drew the inside box. Mr. Riley also advised that he believed that if the greyhound took the lead at the early stages, the greyhound would stay in front. Stewards noted Mr. Riley's explanation and directed that a swab sample be taken from Cynthia Bale, which won the Event.
