Raging Lee, Iron Blade and How Now were slow out. Orabell and Symonds Bale collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Dixie Dunbar checked off the heels of Kayfa Kasey on the first turn checking Symonds Bale and Raging Lee. Iron Blade checked off the heels of Dixie Dunbar approaching the second turn. How Now veered out and fought Raging Lee from entering the back straight to the home straight. Orabell checked off the heels of Nonna Nancy approaching the finishing line. How Now was vetted following the Event and Dr. Michael Bell, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that he could find no injuries apparent with the greyhound. Stewards charged How Now in contravention of AGRR 80.1 for fighting from entering the back straight to the home straight. After taking evidence from Trainer, Jeff Britton, acting on their own observations and viewing the official video film, the Stewards found How Now guilty as charged. Acting in accordance with AGRR 81.2, the Stewards will stand How Now down from competing for 3 months (all tracks) and will require the greyhound to perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will again be accepted. Raging Lee was also vetted following the Event and Dr. Bell reported that he could find no injury apparent with the greyhound.
