Steward's Report
Sweet Jacuzzi was very slow out. Sheoak Boxer was slow out. Cranita veered in and marred the running of Coburn soon after the start severely checking Whistling Drive which stumbled as a result. Droopy Monelli crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Leapstar and Crash 'Em Slayer. Coburn and Cranita collided approaching the first turn. Sheoak Boxer checked off the heels of Leapstar on the first turn. Sweet Jacuzzi galloped on the heels of Whistling Drive approaching the second turn checking Sweet Jacuzzi. Sheoak Boxer checked off the heels of Leapstar on the second turn. Whistling Drive and Sheoak Boxer collided on the third turn. Coburn and Leapstar collided approaching the home turn. Crash 'Em Slayer and Sheoak Boxer collided on the home turn. Coburn and Leapstar collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight.
Cranita was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left pencil muscle, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(1)(a), Stewards charged Cranita with marring and suspended the greyhound for 28 days at Sandown Park and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
