Steward's Report

Nitro Kelly was a late scratching at 6.02pm due to weight variation. Cool Mitch, Ed's Assassin and Belric Boy were slow out. Ed's Assassin and Macca's Cool collided soon after the start checking Ed's Assassin. Macca's Cool and Ben Crochan collided approaching the first turn checking Ben Crochan. Cool Mitch was checked off the heels of Macca's Cool on the first turn. Cool Mitch was checked off the heels of Tuscany Lass on the first turn and raced wide checking Jonathon. Macca's Cool and Belric Boy collided approaching the home turn. Macca's Cool veered out and marred the running of Belric Boy on the home turn and again in the home straight. Macca's Cool was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injured monkey muscles, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR69(1)(a) Steward's charged Macca's Cool with marring and suspended the greyhound for 28 days at Warragul and directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted. A sample was taken from Tuscany Lass - winner of the event.
