Owing to the catching pen gate not being closed across the track at the conclusion of the race, the majority of the field continued on before pulling up in the back straight. This resulted in a minor delay in "all clear" being declared.
Catching Pen Gate Attendant, C. Hiscock, was severely reprimanded for his lack of due diligence in this matter.
Random Princess was vetted following the Event and Dr. Michael Bell, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left monkey muscle and right calf. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Bell, the Stewards will stand Random Princess down from competing for 7 days.

Steward's Report
Feraro Mick and Quiet Whisper were slow out. Tadpole Angel, Down The Pitch and Ignite The Bomb collided soon after the start. Hot Secret and Tadpole Angel collided approaching the first turn. Tadpole Angel checked off the heels of Tinkerbell Road on the third turn.
Tadpole Angel was vetted following the Event and Dr. Michael Bell, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that he could find no injury apparent with the greyhound.
