Steward's Report
Northern Wind was very slow out. Swift River and Ryght Jab were slow out. Northern Wind eased soon after the start. Maloo Miss, Burnout Blue, Mum's Legacy, Tony's Eye and Black Eyed Pea collided approachig the first turn checking Burnout Blue, Mum's Legacy and Black Eyed Pea. Maloo Miss and Black Eyed Pea collided on the first turn. Ryght Jab checked off the heels of Mum's Legacy on the first turn. Ryght Jab clipped the heels of Black Eyed Pea approaching the second turn checking Burnout Blue and Ryght Jab.

Acting under GAR 96.2, Stewards charged Northern Wind with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment and was suspended from Cranbourne for 28 days and was also directed to perform a STAT, pursuant to GAR 97.1 before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to the trainer of Swift River, Mr J Carr regarding the greyhound improved performance. Mr Carr could not offer an explanation other than the greyhound had been trailling well and it did have a clear run throughout the event tonight. Stewards noted his explanation.
