Dama King, Lawi Road and Miss Dashing collided soon after the start. Endure crossed to the rails soon after the start, checking Dama King, Pre Silence and Hornsey's Hound. Miss Dashing checked off Pre Silence approaching the first turn. Pre Silence and After Taste collided on the first turn, causing After Taste to lose considerable ground. Lawi Road checked off Pre Silence on the home turn. Lawi Road and Pre Silence collided in the home straight.
After Taste was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left shoulder muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
