Junior Boss and Shantaram were slow out. Jack Marx and I'm Cool collided soon after the start. Black Sagitta and Lucky Reaction collided soon after the start. Jack Marx and Bwana Jimbo collided at the 75mtr mark.
Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. B. A. Davis regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Shantaram. Acting under GAR 67 (1), Stewards directed that Shantaram be boxed first in future events.
