Steward's Report
Boss Rumble and Zhar Purple were slow out. Comic Sans checked off King Benny soon after the start. Pure Instinct, Zhar Purple and King Benny collided on the first turn checking Boss Rumble, Show Me How and Zhar Purple. Boss Rumble checked off Zhar Purple approaching the home turn checking Show Me How which raced wide as a result. Boss Rumble and Show Me How collided approaching the home turn. Boss Rumble, Show Me How and Zhar Purple collided on the home turn checking all three greyhounds. Comic Sans and King Benny collided in the home straight.
Zhar Purple was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the left and right quadricep muscles, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Samples were taken from the first two placegetters in the event - Cape Hawke (1st) and Make The Call (2nd).
