Steward's Report
Prince Holyfield, Whispering Wind and Karanji were slow out. Godsend, Smart Intention and Whispering Wind collided on the first turn checking Smart Intention and Whispering Wind. Prince Holyfield checked off Whispering Wind on the first turn. Karanji galloped on the heels of Prince Holyfield on the first turn severely checking Prince Holyfield and causing Karanji to fall. Smart Intention checked off Godsend approaching the home turn. Whispering Wind and Smart Intention collided approaching the home turn.
Karanji was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the left and right quadricep muscles, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
A sample was taken from the first two placegetters in the event - Zara Zulu (1st) and El Brooklyn (2nd).
