Reynard's King was slow to begin. Budgie Lass and Sisco Return collided soon after the start checking Sisco Return and Northern Trouble. Northern Trouble and Sisco Return collided approaching the first turn. Henry Stomper and Northern Gunna collided on the first turn. Northern Gunna, Henry Stomper and Northern Trouble collided approaching the home turn checking Sisco Return and severely checking Northern Gunna and Henry Stomper. Budgie Lass and Eurico Bale collided approaching the home turn. Eurico Bale eased in the home straight. Eurico Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyound sustained a right wrist graze and right fibula injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr S Coulson, the handler of the greyhound Eurico Bale. Stewards deemed the performance of Eurico Bale unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Eurico Bale must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
