Steward's Report
Uncle Mac was slow to begin. Issy's Flame and Dirt Cheap collided soon after the start checking Dirt Cheap. Dewana El Galo and Silver Brodie collided approaching the first turn checking Dewana El Galo. Ultra Cool crossed to the outside approaching the first turn checking Kayo Marciarno, Issy's Flame and Uncle Mac. Kayo Marciarno checked off the heels of Uncle Mac on the second turn. Silver Brodie brushed the running rail on the third turn. Silver Brodie and Kayo Marciarno collided on the home turn.
Dirt Cheap was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right back muscle, triangle and left hock injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr.G.Nicoll the trainer of Dirt Cheap and reminded him of his responsibilities regarding him trying to attract the attention of his greyhound after boxing it. GAR 51(10)(c).
