BENDIGO GRA TRACK HARROW
18/12/2024The Bendigo Greyhound Racing Association would like to advise participants that they will, weather permitting, MEDIUM HARROW the track on SUNDAY 22nd December.
The MEDIUM Harrow will be at a depth of between 41mm to 60mm.
We would also like to advise participants that Education trials on Thursday December 19th are cancelled due to the installation of a new lure cable.
TRAVEL AND STARTERS FEE CHANGES
17/12/2024Trainers are advised that, beginning with race meetings conducted from Wednesday 8 January 2025, travel and starter payments will be made weekly, in conjunction with prize money, with the first weekly payment to be made on Wednesday 15 January 2025 for race meeting conducted from 8 January 2025 to 14 January 2025 inclusive. Participants registered for GST are advised that the GST transaction will also be completed weekly on Wednesdays.
The change is being made to improve efficiencies at GRV and assist GST compliance and reporting.
Therefore, the final daily payment of travel and starter fees will be on Wednesday 8 January 2025 for the race meetings conducted Tuesday 7 January 2025. Thereafter, all payments (travel, starters, prizemoney, bonuses and GST as applicable) for race meetings conducted in the prior week (Wednesday to Tuesday) will be made to the nominated bank accounts weekly on a Wednesday.
Participants can view payments and prize money transactions by logging into your FastTrack account and going to My Finances.

SHEPPARTON TRIAL UPDATE
16/12/2024Please note that due to the Heat Shepparton Trials sessions (Wednesday and Saturday) will now begin at 8.00am.
Also we would like to inform you that there will be NO TRIALS on Wednesday 25th December (Christmas Day) or Wednesday 1st January (New Years Day)
THE PHOENIX SATURDAY 21ST DECEMBER
16/12/2024The Phoenix will be conducted at The Meadows over 525m on Saturday 21st December, 2024.
Phoenix Nominations
The Slot Holder's trainer or owner must officially nominate the eligible greyhound for The Phoenix by no later than 10:30am (AEST) on Friday 13th December via GRV on (03) 8329 1100.
Phoenix Reserves
Nominations for the reserve position pool (and subsequent match race) also close at 10:30am (AEST) on Friday 13th December via GRV on (03) 8329 1100 or online. To be considered for the reserve position pool, trainers must nominate for 'The Challenger Match Race'.
The reserve pool will be announced by the MGRA at the Field Announcement on Sunday 15th December. The two reserves will then be selected at the time of grading on Wednesday 18th December.
Two reserves will be selected by GRV and MGRA that are best suited to the race.
In the case of the first scratching, the slot holder has the right to pick the reserve.
Phoenix Night Match Race – The Challenger
The two reserves selected for The Phoenix will compete in a Match Race on Saturday 21st December over 525m. Two further greyhounds will be selected as Challenger Reserves from the reserve pool.
Prizemoney for the Match Race is 1st $10,000 2nd $5,000.

Whiskey Riot Classic
The Whiskey Riot Classic is a Special Event held over 525m on Saturday 21st December. To be eligible the greyhounds colour must include Brindle or Fawn. The winner shall receive $10,000 in prizemoney and a Whiskey Riot straw.
PRIZEMONEY PAYMENTS OVER CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR PERIODS
16/12/2024The following prizemoney payment schedule will apply due to Christmas and New year public holidays:
Tuesday 24th December – prizemoney paid for the period Wed 18th Dec through to Mon 23rd Dec;
Tuesday 31st December – prizemoney paid for the period Tue 24th Dec through to Mon 30th Dec;
Wednesday 8th January 2025 - prizemoney paid for the period Tue 31st Dec through to Tue 7th Jan;
Travel and starters to be paid the 1st business day after the meeting date as per usual.
