A pre-race sample was taken from Lyrical Cripps.
Aston Allure was quick to begin. Weblec Wrangler was slow to begin.
Mepunga Riley (faltered entering the back straight and subsequently tailed off) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury and a laceration to the left tibia. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
