Happy Good Guy, Limestone and Aston Gozo were quick to begin. Gypsy King went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Bomer Amigo was slow to begin.
Gypsy King faltered soon after the start and subsequently tailed off. Gypsy King underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
