Lyon Bale (checked and fell turning off the back straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Jord's The Gift underwent a post-race veterinary examination as the greyhound had a seizure in the catching pen. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under the provisions of GAR 42, Jord's The Gift is prohibited from competing in an event until such time as both a veterinary clearance is provided to the satisfaction of Stewards and a satisfactory trial is completed pursuant to GAR 132. Further, under the provisions of GAR 42(3), Jord's The Gift is suspended from racing for 28 days at all tracks.

Blackpool Trip was quick to begin, Platypus Yaala and Bernardo Onyx were slow to begin.

Hot Saki – Late scratching at 11:50am on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to illness. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Rocket Scientist, a post-race sample was taken.

Due to an issue with the starting boxes the lids opened prematurely with the first line of greyhounds in the boxes. Magnet Mover, Rocket Scientist, Circle The Globe and Winckie Bale galloped free for the entire course. As such, pursuant to GAR 110, the event was declared a ‘No Race’. All bets are to be refunded. The weights recorded for the greyhounds are void and do not count for the purposes of the weight rule at the greyhounds’ next start. The event was then abandoned, with prizemoney to be split evenly between the greyhounds which competed.

Magnet Mover, Rocket Scientist, Circle The Globe and Winckie Bale underwent veterinary examinations with no injuries reported.

Sandy Cabang and Fergus Bale were quick to begin, Sun In Cuba was slow to begin.

Miyazaki Bird – Late scratching at 5.57pm on 24/03/24 when Mr. Jason Sharp reported the greyhound to have a hip injury (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.

Dasher Bale – Late scratching at 8.50pm on 24/03/24 when Mr. Correy Grenfell reported the greyhound to have a hock injury (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.

Crooked River – Late scratching at 2.38pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to diarrhoea. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Soho Passin' By was slow to begin.

Trainer Ms Tammy Kennedy-Harris failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Xarn Bale for racing. After considering all the circumstances a fine of $100 was issued pursuant to GAR 97(2).

Blackpool Urban was quick to begin, Two Toots and Xarn Bale were slow to begin.

Stewards spoke to representative Mr Jordan Bryce regarding the racing manners of Xisco Bale approaching the first turn. After hearing submissions from Mr Bryce, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.
