A pre–race sample was taken from Hustle Nina.
Rapid Layla, Gold Benz and George Jetson were quick to begin. Oryx was slow to begin.
Reiko Walter - Fell in the catching pen, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
George Jetson underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the left and right distal limbs. A zero day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Ms Kelleigh Smith regarding George Jetson's racing manners in the home straight and approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, George Jetson was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Smith pleaded guilty to the charge. George Jetson must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race sample was taken from George Jetson – the winner of the event.
