Wrong Bias and So Certain were quick to begin. Dundee Smokey was very slow to begin (10 lengths).

Dundee Smokey (very slow to begin and took no competitive part in the event), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a split webbing. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A post–race blood and urine sample was taken from Wrong Bias – the winner of the event.

A post race urine sample was taken from Lamia Mila - second placegetter of the event.
