Steward's Report
Not Happy Jan and Locke Bale were quick to begin.
Bourne Supremacy was slow to begin, lost ground throughout the event and subsequently tailed off. Bourne Supremacy underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion and toe injury on the left hind foot. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Clinton Rand regarding Bourne Supremacy’s performance throughout the event. After hearing submissions from Mr. Rand, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Bourne Supremacy unsatisfactory. Bourne Supremacy must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Locke Bale - the winner of the event.
