Steward's Report
Fight The Fight – Late scratching at 2:14pm due to weight variation (GAR 101). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr Barry Harper was fined $100.
Whiskey Splash was quick to begin. Arctic Bale and Tonk Almighty were slow to begin.
Galloping Lucy turned it's head outwards in the home straight and marred Hard Style Baby, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right long head triceps muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Robert Conway regarding Galloping Lucy’s racing manners in the home striaght. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Galloping Lucy was charged with marring. Mr Conway pled guilty to the charge, Galloping Lucy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Whiskey Splash lost ground in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left fibula injury and left foreleg abrasion. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
