Two Stroke checked off Penny Blossom approaching the home turn. Penny Blossom and Blue Westmead collided approaching the home turn. Crabbie Abbie brushed the running rail on the home turn. 

Red Light Runner and Grand Slam Diva were quick to begin. Future Past and Black Shuck were slow to begin. Just Push On, Farmor Eye Am and Joe Handson collided soon after the start. Spiral Bek and Just Push On collided approaching the first turn. Spiral Bek and Just Push On collided on the first turn checking Just Push On. Red Light Runner and Grand Slam Diva collided on the first turn. 

Ikara Bale was a late scratching at 8:14pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Steward's spoke to Mr. James Shaw, handler of Left Is Right which performed below market expectations. Mr. Shaw stated he was disappointed with the greyhounds performace. Mr. Shaw further added that the greyhound was having its first start at this track without having previously trialed at the track.  A veterinary inspection of Left Is Right revealed no apparent injury.

Boris Bekim was a late scratching at 5.59pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr.Brian Fish was fined the sum of $100.

Molly Michelle and Cambridge Prince were slow to begin. Kirabilli George and Cambridge Prince collided on the first turn. Kirabilli George galloped on the heels of Rex Best on the second turn checking both greyhounds. Pat The Baker brushed the running rail on the third turn. 

Rex Best which trailed the field throughout was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left hip, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Schmoo, Sonic Dash and Yanick Allen were slow to begin. Kisai Blade, Rainbow Miss and Sporty Heart collided soon after the start checking Rainbow Miss. Alderaan, Sporty Heart and Kisai Blade collided approaching the first turn checking Kisai Blade and Sporty Heart. Mr. Norm McCullagh, trainer of Famous Seamus redeclared a new weight of 32.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Famous Seamus last raced at 33.5kg.

Bryvon, Beau West, Buddie Bargain and Rosie's Crusade were slow to begin. Bryvon and Beau West collided soon after the start. Omega Clover, Sting Like Ali, Uncool Albert and Beau West collided approaching the first turn checking Uncool Albert, Buddie Bargain and Rosie's Crusade, and causing Bryvon, Beau West and Sting Like Ali to fall.
