Big Will was slow to begin.  Roadie and Che Road collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds.  Magic Kara crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Nikita's Nitro, Hippy Jet and Che Road.  Che Road and Roadie collided at the 300m mark.  Star Lomar and Hippy Jet collided at the 300m mark.  Nikita's Nitro and Roadie collided several times from the 250m mark until the 200m mark.  Big Will and Hippy Jet collided at the 150m mark.  Roadie crossed to the outside approaching the 100m mark, checking Hippy Jet.  Big Will checked off Son Tantra at the 100m mark.  Roadie eased at the 50m mark.

Stewards spoke to G Edwards, the handler of the greyhound Roadie regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 50m mark. Roadie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained lower back soreness, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Roadie with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). G Edwards pleaded guilty to the charge, Roadie was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Milly O'Muffin was a late scratching at 11.37am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down penalty was imposed. Trainer G Carr was fined the sum of $100.

Coolan Prince and Barada collided soon after the start.  Ima Cosmic and Naughty Jubilee collided soon after the start.  Barada and Miss Belladonna collided approaching the 300m mark.  Naughty Jubilee and Futurist collided approaching the 300m mark and again at the 300m mark.  Coolan Prince checked off Barada at the 300m mark.  Naughty Jubilee and Futurist collided several times from the 300m mark until the 250m mark.  Barada and Miss Belladonna collided at the 250m mark.  Coolan Prince, Barada and Miss Belladonna collided approaching the 100m mark, severely checking Miss Belladonna.  Barada and Ima Cosmic collided at the 50m mark, checking Ima Cosmic.

Miss Belladonna was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained grazes to the left hamstring.  No stand down period was imposed.

Thriller Love and In The Flesh collided soon after the start.  Daintree Mustang checked off Shining Dozer at the 300m mark.  Code Breaker and Thriller Love collided at the 250m mark, severely checking Code Breaker which raced awkwardly.  Thriller Love and Sisco Flyer collided at the 200m mark.  Daintree Mustang checked off Code Breaker at the 100m mark.

Code Breaker was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right monkey muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

The judges inadvertedly semephored a dead heat between 5 and 2, which was corrected to 8, 3, 5 and 2 before the all clear was given.

Gold Bullion and Dark Bromance collided soon after the start.  Hard Merchandise and All Mighty One collided approaching the 300m mark.  Mohinga Max, All Mighty One, Garaole, Fawn Kara, Gold Bullion and Dark Bromance collided at the 300m mark, checking Dark Bromance and Hard Merchandise and severely checking Gold Bullion, Garaole and All Mighty One.  Fawn Kara checked off Silver Fresco at the 100m mark.

Garaole was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

B Keel, handler of Normy McShuffle, redeclared a new weight of 35.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Normy McShuffle last raced at 34.1kg.

Polar Bee was slow to begin.  Uno Nando and Sparkling Kitty collided approaching the 300m mark.  Bruree Miss and Normy McShuffle collided at the 300m mark, checking Bruree Miss.  Uno Nando crossed to the outside at the 250m mark and collided with Sparkling Kitty.  Bruree Miss and Little Boots collided approaching the 200m mark, checking Bruree Miss.
