Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from -Optimus Bart.
Julie Fozz and Pason Sander were quick to begin. Classy Boy and Optimus Bart were slow to begin. Julie Fozz, Go Mobo, Black Kaden and Reen's Fabian collided soon after the start checking Reen's Fabian. Classy Boy checked off Reen's Fabian on the first turn. Julie Fozz, Go Mobo and Pason Sander collided on the first turn checking Go Mobo. Go Mobo and Black Kaden collided on the second turn. Optimus Bart eased on the second turn checking Pason Sander. Optimus Bart and Pason Sander collided in the back straight. Slipaway Mavis and Optimus Bart collided on the home turn.
Stewards spoke to Mr. R Siells and reminded him of his responsibilities to ensure he follows the starters directions when boxing his greyhound.
Stewards spoke to Mr. A Debattista, the trainer of the greyhound Optimus Bart regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the second turn. Optimus Bart was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right quadriceps and right biceps, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Optimus Bart with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. A Debattista pleaded guilty to the charge, Optimus Bart was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), befiore any future nomination will be accepted.
