Steward's Report
Cornhill Raven was quick to begin. Gifted Faith and Yagoona Bale were slow to begin.
She's Not Right (marred Runaway Deal entering the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Cameron Morris-Flynn regarding She's Not Right’s racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, She's Not Right was charged with marring. Mr. Morris-Flynn pleaded guilty to the charge. She's Not Right was suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr. Ricky Coleman concerning Elphick Bale's betting fluctuations in the event. Mr. Coleman stated that he had not supported Elphick Bale in the event. Mr Coleman added, however, that the greyhound's winning performance was not wholly unexpected as the greyhound had been improving with racing this preparation.
