Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed ‘Heat Affected’. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 22.6 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.8 degrees. Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue, as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
During kennelling, Stewards conducted a carpark check on the vehicles of all trainers engaged in today’s meeting. Stewards noted that not all vehicles were compliant with the GRV Hot Weather Policy and the GRV Transportation of Greyhounds Policy. Appropriate action was taken in accordance with GAR156 (w).
Stewards spoke to Mr. Corey Jennings in relation to the GRV Hot Weather Policy and the GRV Transportation of Greyhounds policy. Stewards found that Mr Jennings was not compliant with the policies and was fined $250 pursuant to GAR 156(w).
Stewards spoke to Mr. Brad Sands in relation to the GRV Hot Weather Policy and the GRV Transportation of Greyhounds policy. Stewards noted Mr. Sands comments and took no further action.

Quota Bale – Late scratching at 11:39 am on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to a left toe injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Princess Barona and Blue Opal Rocks were quick to begin.
Ms. Yvonne Andrews failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Last Burst for racing. A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 97(2).
