Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 75(6), lure driver, Mr. C. Chilcott did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way affected the outcome of this event.
The start was delayed by approximately one minute due to operational matters.
Commission was quick to begin. Hanny Darrison was slow to begin.
Succeed (visably eased on the home turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right gracillis injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to representative Mr David Knocker regarding Succeed’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Succeed was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Knocker pleaded guilty to the charge. Succeed was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
