Whatever He Said - Late scratching at 1.28pm by Order of Stewards - No stand down period was imposed.

Shima Ruby and Trespassing were quick to begin. Artisan Artist was slow to begin.

Shima Ruby left the course proper after the winning post. A post-race veterinary examination revealed Shima Ruby to have suffered a seizure and sustained spike wounds. Acting under the provisions of GAR 42, Shima Ruby is prohibited from competing in an event until such time as both a veterinary clearance is provided to the satisfaction of Stewards and a Satisfactory Trial is completed, pursuant to GAR 132. Further, under the provisions of GAR 42(3), Shima Ruby is suspended from racing for 28 days at all tracks.
