The track was deep harrowed, top dressed and graded on 10/10/2023.
A sample was taken from Zelda Faros upon arrival to the course.
Who's Nanna Pat was quick to begin. Barooga Dino and Idyllic Star were slow to begin.
Bomb Oran (marred Who's Nanna Pat on the home turn and in the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a slow recovery. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Ms R. Church regarding Bomb Oran’s racing manners on the home turn and in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Bomb Oran was charged with marring. Ms. Church pleaded guilty to the charge. Bomb Oran was suspended for 28 days at Ballarat only and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
