Miss Cloud NIne was quick to begin. Lulugen, Deadman Junction and Gustow Bale were slow to begin. Arvo's Madison and Kentucky Toy collided approaching the first turn checking Arvo's Madison. Lulugen checked off Kentucky Toy on the first turn and lost considerable ground checking Arvo's Madison as a result. Arvo's Madison and Deadman Junction collided on the first turn. Kentucky Toy and Coco Savi collided approaching the home turn checking Kentucky Toy; Coco Savi fell and severely checked Gustow Bale as a result. That's Nick and Miss Cloud Nine collided entering the home straight checking That's Nick.
Kentucky Toy was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 3, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right monkey muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
