Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Hard Merchandise.
Zorzoli, Sky Alert and Noisemaker were slow to begin. Le Luca checked off Boppin Dazzler on the first turn. Zorzoli checked off Sky Alert in the back straight. Hard Merchandise, Boppin Dazzler and Mechatronic collided in the back straight, severely checking Boppin Dazzler which lost considerable ground as result. Hard Merchandise, Sky Alert and Mechatronic collided on the second turn, checking Mechatronic and severely checking Hard Merchandise. Mechatronic and Sky Alert collided in the home straight, checking Sky Alert.
Boppin' Dazzler was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 11, it was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the left shoulder, both triangle and groin muscles, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
