Arrival and Cosmic Buddy were slow to begin. Reina Dela Noche and Baroness Jill collided soon after the start checking Reina Dela Noche. Lots of Yap and Cosmic Buddy collided approaching the first turn. Lots Of Yap checked off Gambit Bale approahcing the home turn. Reina Dela Noche and Lots Of Yap collided in the home straight. Baroness Jill and Gambit Bale collided approaching the winning post.
Gambit Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr.S.Coulson, the handler of the greyhound Gambit Bale regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Gambit Bale was vetted and re-vetted following race 6. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle, a 7 stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Gambit Bale with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr.S.Coulson pleaded guilty to the charge, Gambit Bale was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
