Steward's Report
Elk was quick to begin. Second Thoughts was slow to begin.
Kaye Night (lost ground in the concluding stages of the event) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Trainer Ms. B. Robertson-Leech regarding the racing manners of Kaye Night in this event. Ms. Robertson-Leech stated that the greyhound had never been over this distance before but trialled well over the 450m distance. Ms. Robertson-Leech believed Kaye Night would run well over the 525m distance and moving forward will trial over a similar distance and see how the greyhound performs. Stewards noted her comments and took no further action.
A post–race sample was taken from Electric Paws – the winner of the event.
