Steward's Report
Wicket Maiden was quick to begin. Bess Houdini was very slow to begin (5 lengths).
Bess Houdini underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hind split webbing. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Alexa Daisy turned its head to the inside soon after the start, underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Jye Formosa regarding Alexa Daisy’s racing manners soon after the start. Mr. Formosa declined the option to have the greyhound re-examined. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Alexa Daisy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Formosa pleaded guilty to the charge, Alexa Daisy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Mr Jye Formosa was issued with a warning regarding the use of a mobile phone in the kennelling area in accordance with GAR 96.
