Valdivian underwent a veterinary examination prior to racing and was passed fit to race

Stewards issued a warning pursuant to GAR 81(1) to Ms Kristin Tucker, after the greyhound Valdivian escaped the handler at the parade area prior to the running of this race. The greyhound was vetted and passed fit to race. The start of the race was delayed by 3 minutes. After hearing submissions from Ms Tucker, a warning was issued in accordance with GAR 81(1).

Platinum Bow and Dream Ryker were quick to begin. Mega Banjo Boy went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.

Redgum Flyer underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left fore toe abrasion. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Whiskey Road and Mike's Tiger were quick to begin. Rock The Marjen was slow to begin.

Howe Pie underwent a post–race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have a tail injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Next Teardrop underwent a post–race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have a right long head triceps muscle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

Infra Bang Bang fell in the catching pen and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.

Hurricane Max fell in the catching pen and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.

Hurricane Pat – Proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 106.

Satisfactory Trial 3:

Soda Grenadier – Unsatisfactory Performance – Field of 4, Distance 350m, Weight 29.4kg, Box 1, Placed (Fell)  – Comment: Not Cleared, Soda Grenadier was severely checked on the first turn and subsequently fell. Soda Grenadier underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Indestruct – Blinker trial (Right side only) – Field of 4, Distance 350m, Weight kg, Box 3, Placed 1st, Time Run 20.619 – Comment: Not Cleared visibly eased on the home turn.
