Path To Nirvana – Late scratching at 10:10am due to weight variation (GAR 101). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, trainer Ms. Donna Furey was fined $100.
A pre-race sample was taken from Provocation.
Fine Wee Lass eased approaching the winning post, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Craig Treasure regarding Fine Wee Lass's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Fine Wee Lass was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Treasure pleaded guilty to the charge. Fine Wee Lass must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
