Steward's Report
The start was delayed by approximately 2 minutes due to operational requirements.
A pre-race sample was taken from Spotty Can Run.
Hot Summer Sky was quick to begin.
Spotty Can Run was checked and lost ground, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hamstring injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Jack Clarke regarding Spotty Can Run's overall performance in the event. In accordance with GAR 122, the Stewards requested Mr. Clarke to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Spotty Can Run in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
