Rob The Butcher underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Terry Meyer regarding the racing manners of Rob The Butcher approaching the winning post. After hearing submissions from Mr. Meyer, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections. 

The announcement of the All Clear was delayed for the Stewards to review the race footage of the box lids opening. After viewing the footage and acting on their own observations, the Stewards were comfortably satisfied that no greyhounds were materially affected so as to affect the outcome of the event. The All Clear was posted.

Jeremy Spoke and Raging Cable were slow to begin. 

Zipping Phoenix, Miss Jazz and Rumour Confirmed were slow to begin.

Inter Buzz Along faltered at the 250m mark and tailed off, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left back muscle, right monkey muscle and right thigh muscle. A 60 day stand-down period was imposed.

Rear View Mirror underwent a post–race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have a laceration to the left hock. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Imperial Sash, Super Shanks and Crackerjack Jet were slow to begin.

Super Shanks marred Major Currency approaching 150m mark, approaching the 100m mark and approaching the winning post. Stewards spoke to Mr Carl Haas regarding Super Shank’s racing manners approaching the 150m mark, approaching the 100m mark and approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Super Shanks was charged with marring. Mr. Haas pleaded guilty to the charge. Super Shanks was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Ms Kylie Norton was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for Black Noise, pursuant to GAR 88.

Spot Fox – New declared weight of 35.4kg, last raced at 34.1kg.

You Akela underwent a post-trial veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right monkey muscle and right chest muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
