Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Kingsville Comet.
The start was delayed by approximately one minute due to holding for a thoroughbred race at Sunshine Coast.
Kingsville Comet was quick to begin. Aston Aretha was slow to begin.
Kingsville Comet (turned it's head inwards and marred Another Nando approaching the winning post), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to trainer, Mrs. Emma Scott regarding Kingsville Comet’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Kingsville Comet was charged with marring. Mrs. Scott pleaded guilty to the charge. Kingsville Comet is suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
