Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Bruce's Shout.
Peaky Joe was quick to begin. Xisco Bale, Leo Bale and Ducati Roy was slow to begin.
Leo Bale (turned it's head outwards and marred Xisco Bale in the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to representative Mr Ron Rudd regarding Leo Bale’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Leo Bale was charged with marring. Mr Rudd pleaded guilty to the charge. Leo Bale was suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial/s in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
