Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Havana Magic.
Ketchikan Kid was quick to begin. Devil's Knocking was slow to begin.
Devil's Knocking turned its head and visibly eased on the first turn, severely checking Paw Bodhi. Devil's Knocking underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Mr. Martin Galea declined the option to have the greyhound re-examined. Stewards spoke to Mr. Galea regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Devil's Knocking was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Galea reserved his plea to the charge. Devil's Knocking was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
