Steward's Report
Trend Setter– Late scratching at 8.14am when Mr. Clayton King reported the greyhound to have kennel cough, (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.
Avery Charm (fell soon after the start), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a hip injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to trainer - Mr. Joe Uglietta after he entered the track in the back straight to retrieve Avery Charm which fell soon after the start. After hearing submissions from Mr. Uglietta, and going through the provisions of the GRV Track Rules and Exclusion Zone Procedures, Stewards reminded Mr. Uglietta of his responsibilities - GAR 156(f) - to not enter the track during a race or at any time when the lure is in motion.
