Steward's Report
Zipping Osti and Divine Nature were slow to begin.
Zipping Osti turned its head outwards and made head and muzzle contact with Divine Nature in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed abrasions. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr. Shaun Coulson regarding Zipping Osti’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Zipping Osti was charged with marring. Mr. Coulson pleaded not guilty to the charge. Zipping Osti was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown Park and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Benalla Bandit - winner of the event.
