In accordance with Sky Racing, this event was re-scheduled to 5.33pm - originally scheduled for 5.32pm.

Kraken Ace, Lakeview Vincent and Canya Torque were quick to begin. Kraken Force was slow to begin.

Kraken Force - faltered approaching winning post, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured right hock. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track in the home straight and deemed it satisfactory for racing.
