Steward's Report
A pre–race sample was taken from Bluey La La.
Stewards pulled the lure up in the home straight as the greyhound Johnson Street fell, turned in the back straight and was running in the opposite direction. As such, pursuant to GAR 110, the event was declared a ‘No Race’. All bets are refunded. The weights recorded for the greyhounds are void and do not count for the purposes of the weight rule at the greyhounds’ next start. The event was then abandoned, with prizemoney to be split evenly between the greyhounds which competed.
Johnson Street was severely checked on the first turn and subsequently fell underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg laceration. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Xoel Bale was severely checked on the first turn and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Bluey La La underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Our Mabel underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right thigh injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Abundant Lumens underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
