Steward's Report
A pre–race sample was taken from - Moraine Arnie.
Aston Kennedy was quick to begin.
Grumpy Sailor - Turned head inwards and failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 8. Grumpy Sailor was found to have a right pencil muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Raymond Mahony regarding Grumpy Sailor's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Grumpy Sailor was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Mahony pleaded not guilty to the charge. Grumpy Sailor was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
