A pre-race sample was taken from Full Speed Ahead.
Sleek Monique and Full Speed Ahead were slow to begin.
Exiled underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left thigh muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Matthew Bright regarding the racing manners of Exiled approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Exiled was charged with marring. Mr. Bright pleaded guilty to the charge. Exiled was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
