Steward's Report
Redeemer Fortune was quick to begin. King Pop was slow to begin.
Chappy's Girl (faltered approaching the first turn and tailed off) underwent a veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured right hock. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track on the first turn and deemed it satisfactory for racing.
This event was delayed approximately 3 minutes after greyhound Queen Butterly slipped its lead en-route to the boxes and escaped from the control of Handler - Mr. K.Lloyd for approximately 20 metres before the greyhound could be caught. Queen Butterfly was vetted and passed fit to start. Following the event, Stewards spoke to Representative - Mr. K.Lloyd regarding the matter and fined him the sum of $100 for negligence pursuant to GAR156(f). In assessing penalty, Stewards took into consideration, Mr. Lloyd's history in the industry and his first offence under GAR 156(f).
