Steward's Report
Firing Chief – Late scratching at 8.12am - Stewards Non Penalty.
Fire Wire and Zipping Swazi were quick to begin. White Shiraz was slow to begin.
Borrowed Time (turned head outwards on home turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have injury to the right triangle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Cody Hose regarding Borrowed Time’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Borrowed Time was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Hose pleaded guilty to the charge. Borrowed Time must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
